Frequently
Asked Questions
(about originals and commissions)

1. How does the commission process work?
Once we’ve discussed your ideas, size and budget, I will provide a quote and outline the scope of the project. A deposit secures your booking and allows me to begin the creative process. I will keep you updated at key stages before final completion.
2. Do you require a deposit for commissioned work?
Yes. A non-refundable, 50% deposit is required to secure your commission and cover materials and studio time. The remaining balance is due on completion and delivery or collection of the completed artwork.
3. How long does a commissioned piece take?
Timelines vary depending on size, detail and current studio schedule. Most commissions are completed within an agreed timeframe discussed at booking. If you have a specific deadline, please mention this at the enquiry stage so I can confirm availability.
4. What is your shipping policy?
All prints and originals are carefully packaged by me and shipped via express courier with tracking. Shipping costs are calculated and charged at the time of final payment. Orders typically arrive within 1–2 weeks depending on destination and courier timelines. You will receive tracking details once your artwork has been dispatched.
5. Do you accept returns or exchanges?
All sales are final and I do not offer returns or exchanges. However, if your artwork arrives damaged or is lost in transit, please contact me within 48 hours of delivery with clear photographs of the packaging and the item. I will arrange a replacement where appropriate.
6. Is delivery/installation included in the price?
Delivery and installation is not automatically included. However, I am often able to assist with delivery depending on location and scheduling.
7. Do you ship internationally?
Yes. Original paintings being shipped overseas are taken off the frame and carefully rolled and packaged for shipping. You will need to arrange for them to be re-stretched by a framer local to you.
8. Where can I view these paintings in person?
I often have clients stop by my house by appointment to see what originals I have available. I also generally have 3-4 pieces hung in Kennedy Gallery, West Shore Plaza.
9. Does Jo host art/painting lessons?
At this time I don't! Mainly from lack of time.
